NEWS... APRIL 2010 Deep Blue Orchestra have been asked to play a week of shows in the Australian Pavilion at The World Expo in Shanghai in June. Deep Blue Orchestra perform at the opening of the CREATIVE 3 International Conference. Dane Alexander DJ's an ambient, glitch and beats set to finish off the night. DBO were joined by the pyrotechnics crew from the Woodford Folk Festival to give the performance a little extra. Pictured below:
DECEMBER 09 Deep Blue Orchestra perform at Woodfork Folk Festival on the Amphitheatre Stage every night and are featured in the closing Fire Ceremony in front of 15,000 people braving the rain! The festival was a great week of fantastic music, mud and lack of sleep haha. We are all looking forward to performing at the festival again next year!
NOVEMBER 09 NEW WEBSITE ONLINE!!! I've been sketching hard over the past couple of weeks to get some demo's to jam out for my new group THE DANGERPHONICS. Together with Reuben Staines, we are attempting to fuse psychedelic rocknroll with electronica. This marriage of old and new seems to be wielding some interesting results. Demo's and gigs to be posted as they come. DEEP BLUE ORCHESTRA are off to Kuala Lumpur to play at the Grand Dorsett Subang Hotel for the Malaysia International Gourmet Festival on the 1st Nov. I have just finished a fantastic season at LaBoite Roundhouse Theatre with DEEP BLUE ORCHESTRA. The company and audiences all had a great time. Bit sad it's over but im off to Malaysia for shows on Sunday, so there are plenty of things to keep a smile on my face. DEEP BLUE ORCHESTRA have taken out the 2008 APACA Drovers Awards for 'Excellent Audience Response'. Thankyou to all the venue's and fans that made this award possible! |
